Tal Erez is a designer and design researcher focusing on socio-political and economic transformations in face of technological and policy changes. He has worked and was shown internationally.

He has presented projects globally with the Israeli pavilion exhibition at the venice architecture biennale (Aircraft Carrier, 2012-13) and with companies and institutions such as Droog Design (Design for download, 2011, 2013), EventArchitectuur (Spaces, 2010), Z33, house for contemporary art and design (The Machine, 2012; Design beyond production, 2013) and Jerusalem Season of Culture (Point of view, 2013) among others. Erez was the curator of the the exhibition Plastic: Promises of a home made future presented at Het Nieuwe Instituut, Rotterdam January-April 2015 were he is also a research fellow. His work has been shown in numerous international magazines.

His studio Design Related is involved in numerous research and curatorial projects and offers product and exhibition design services, among others to the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, and the Tel Aviv Museum of art and Haifa Museum of technology.

Tal holds degrees from Holon Institute of Technology and the Design Academy Eindhoven (Cum Laude). He teaches design in Hadassah college and in Bezalel academy’s design Masters program in Jerusalem.

The collective curates and designs exhibitions and intiates projects, while also is working on a buisness program to formulate itself under the brand “SuperOrganism”, which focuses on the relationship of design with the political, social, economic and environmental situations around it. Its first action was the launch of the “SuperOrganism” exhibition/shop during Dutch Design Week 2010, Eindhoven, NL.

2009-2012: Collaborative design work with EventArchitectuur, design and architecture office, Amsterdam, NL.

Various product design projects in collaboration with design office “Eventarchitectuur” (Involved in all stages – Concept, Design, Graphic concept, Models and manufacturing), including billboard installations for Utrecht Manifest 2009, and the “spaces” furniture system, which was presented in Milan 2010 and at “Vivid” gallery Rotterdam. Currently Heading the “design for download” project for Droog design’s new downloadable design platform, including four new products, tools and events exploring design through digital media, focused on the interior. To be launched at the Milan furniture fair, 13-17, April, 2011.

2008-2009: Part time design work at studio Samira Boon, design studio, Amsterdam, NL.

Work on different projects at different stages, including extensive design work on children’s furniture for Japanese manufacturers, currently in model stage.

2007-2008 (10 months): Graphic designer at “Mccann Erickson” advertising agency, Tel Aviv, Israel.

Partner and co-founder of a design studio providing freelance services in industrial design to studios, factories and private entrepreneurs. The studio also initiated, manufactured and sold products in houseware, consumer products and fashion. 2006-2007 (13 months):
